It depends on who you ask.
What white folks would say:
- Cheaper housing in Oregon, Washington, Nevada, and Arizona
- There?s too much crime in California
- California is not a good place to raise a family or retire
- Quality of life has gone downhill (traffic, pollution, overcrowding, etc.)
What minorities would say is the ?real? reason:
- It?s racism, duh (white people just prefer being in charge and around other white people).
And it?s not just Southern California anymore, many whites have moved out of Northern California too. Both San Francisco and San Jose are now minority-majority cities, just like L.A. and Long Beach.
